
Tim Shaw has been enjoying tremendous success performing solo in Sydney’s live venues, frequently playing to capacity audiences. His performance covers a wide range of musical taste, from ballads and pub singalong to plenty of up tempo Rock n’ Roll, including his own originals. He easily and quickly develops a rapport with his audience, being able to mingle without restrictions of attached cables . His computer controlled equipment is the most advanced available, delivering completely realistic digital sound from thousands of instruments.
Tim has produced and sung on hundreds of advertising commercials, and can be heard singing the theme for the Internationally successful soap Opera “Breakers”, Shown on Channel 10, or Paul Clitheroe’s “Money” program on channel Nine. His first original CD has been played on nearly all major FM stations around Australia. He’s played and jammed with many stars including: Daryl Braithwaite, Aaron Neville, Neville Brothers, Col Joye, Ricky May, Tommy Emmanuel and Jackie Orszaczky. He has appeared many times on Australian, American, Canadian television, including “The Daryl Somers Show” and “The Midday Show” with Ray Martin. The "Tim Shaw Band" (a five piece outfit) was selected as the resident Australian band at the World Expo in New Orleans and the Venue quickly became the most popular night spot in the city! On Catching Tim’s performance David Bowie once remarked he was the best solo act he’d seen. For five years running Tim was the centre attraction during “Schoolies” period on the Gold Coast, filling the Surfers Paradise Tavern daily.
Playing guitar since the age of eight, he has studied under guitar virtuoso George Golla, and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Tim has also been sponsored by many major musical instrument companies doing clinics for such brand names as Ibanez guitars, Fender guitars, G&L Guitars, DR Guitar strings, Atari computers, and was sponsored by the Peavey Corporation whilst in America. The 2007 “Sydney Guitar Show” featured Tim on guitar.
His solo performances have become Sydney pub legend.
Tim comes equipped with lights and 5,400 watt P.A. to cater for large venues.
